Practice & Experience
Kelly Koch Leahy and Dara Lis created Beyond Accounting in July of 2009.

Previously, they had worked independently in the accounting field garnering clients who recognized their ability to "go beyond" accounting and provide superior customer service.

Now, they do the same, only as a team.
OUR TEAM
Dara has lived in Wilson, NY for the past 17 years with her husband. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from the University at Buffalo in 1992. She worked for a small firm for 13 years before starting her own business. Realizing a need for more than just accounting services, she combined her business with Kelly Koch in July of 2009 to create Beyond Accounting. Dara specializes in personal and corporate tax returns for local and out of state clients.
Kelly Koch Leahy lives in Orchard Park, NY with her husband. She attended UNLV, majoring in accounting. Recruited by a large software company in 1995, she traveled the country for training and consulting, along with personalized customizations. She started her own business in 2000 and in July 2009 she combined her business with Dara Lis to create Beyond Accounting. Kelly specializes in consulting, training, and education. She is a certified QuickBooks Advisor and a certified notary.
Ashley Markle-Klapp is Beyond Accounting's Staff Accountant. She is a Lancaster, NY native and currently lives in Depew with her husband and 3 children.
Ashley has 5+ years working in administration for the restaurant industry specializing in accounts payable, payroll, human resources, and compliance. She graduated with an Associate’s degree in Accounting from Bryant and Stratton in 2020.
Ashley is most excited to assist clients with all their bookkeeping needs. She joined the Beyond Accounting team in 2021.
